The front and rear flexible panels are controlled by a spring-oriented bar located on the top of the wheels. The rugged polyurethane wheels are 77mm/85A with ABEC-5 bearings. I got this for my son for Christmas, he had ridden one once before at a friends house. He caught on right away (but he is 13) I wouldn't suggest Dad getting on and ending up in the emergency room. It does seem dangerous but he is having a great time on it. I choose this board because it was suppose to come with 2 extra wheels which did not come with it. Haven't been able to resolve that issue yet. Have fun, be careful!

The prompt delivery on this item was great. I have a 12-1/2 year old girl that loves the ripstik. It did not take her long to be able to learn how to move on it. She likes it much better than a skateboard. Her friends that have it feel the same way.
