| Customer Reviews:
fun for all ages August 24, 2008 This game is grreat!. I usually play it with my young brothers, whose ages are (6,10 and 13). they all enjoy it, since it is easy to play and has lots of strategy. every time we play it, we learn more about strategy. I wish it had special bags for the playing pieces of the game instead of the plastic plates.
Blokus - A Great Game For The Whole Family August 15, 2008 This is a great game for kids to hone their spacial relationship understanding and reasoning skills, and equally as fun for adults to strategize moves against their oponents in hopes of blocking as many pieces as possible from being laid down on the board. Game is missing a warning sticker...Caution: Blokus Is Addictive. Lot's of fun. Quick 20-30 minute games. Definitely recommend.
A simple, fun game. August 13, 2008 This is one of the few games I like to play with my sons that do not involve complicated written rules. The only glitch we encountered was that we already lost one game piece and could not get a replacement. Not a big deal after I just made a paper piece to replace the plastic one.
Great vacation family game August 11, 2008 I bought this game to take on our lake vacation. I played online a few times to get the feel of it and that convinced me that the kids would like it. It was the hit of the trip, especially because we had more rain than usual. Every age enjoyed it and there were always enough people wanting to play. (It is best played by 4 players.) Ages 9 through 60 all played together and everyone had a good time. I was in fear of losing the pieces and so used 4 ziplock bags to hold them. I drilled the kids on counting before they started, which helped since they understood the need for everyone to have the same number. We made it through 2 weeks without losing any.
Challenging Family Game for Everyone July 30, 2008 We've had this game for a few years now. It's still a family favorite. If you like Othello or Tetris, you are sure to love this game. We usually play with three people and take turns on who lays down a tile for the forth color. It works great and adds to everyone's strategy. My husband is not a big fan of board games, but enjoys this one. It doesn't require any reading, so a child who is a pre-reader can join in. I also like the fact that the rules aren't complicated. You can learn as you go.
