Product Description The next time you're invited to a friend's home for dinner, bring along a bottle of wine that you've locked in this beautifully-constructed wooden puzzle gizmo and watch the fun start to flow! Don't Break the Bottle is an ingenious gift idea to stump the perfect host. To enjoy the fruit of their labor, they must release the wine bottle from the wooden enclosure. This may involve pushing the ball through, passing the rope over, or pulling the block around one thing or another. Watch as friends turn white and then see red as they struggle to free the bottle! Fits standard wine, herb vinegar, olive oil and pop. Bottle of wine not included.

My husband loved it! January 21, 2008 J. Hauser (Minneapolis, MN) We saw this at a party so my husband had to get one for himself and another for a friend. The only problem we had was that one of the pieces was missing on one of them, but the company was great and very quick to help remedy the problem. We would recommend this item. It would be a great hostess gift.
Great Way To Give A Gift Of Wine January 8, 2008 B. Levin 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure which one of these "Don't Break The Bottle" puzzles would be best. I decided on this one since the product looked durable and the rope was large. The large rope has less of a chance of getting tangled and the configuration of the puzzle is such that people can actually watch you try to solve it. The people I gave it too had a great time solving it, as did the guests they had over. They passed it around trying to solve it. I've always been into puzzles and I think this one is just the right amount of difficulty for what it is. You want people to be able to solve it, but not right away. There were a couple of quality issues with the puzzle but were easily fixed. The beads on the rope would snag a bit. I took the edge of a scissor and ran it inside of the bead (without dissasembling the puzzle). This allowed the beads to slide without catching. Also, the wood piece that goes on top of the bottle had a crack in it at the end furthest from the bottle. I'm not sure if this happened after some use or was shipped that way. In either case, a little wood glue made that a non issue. Overall though, the puzzle looks quite nice and feels good in the hand while trying to solve. In any case, I would buy this puzzle again...knowing that I might have to do a little prep work to make it operate smoothly. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the quality issues.

This puzzle kept my brother-n-law busy for a long time Christmas morning. I kept the directions in my purse just-in-case (which we needed to break out in the end.) I think it's a great gift for a wine lover or a puzzle lover.
