Product Description Grades 2&up. There are only seven pieces in this puzzle, so it should be easy. Right? Guess again! Sixty puzzle cards show 60 three-dimensional structures for players to replicate using the seven pieces. Each of the pieces, based on three or four connected cubes, is unique. One is an L shape, another a T, and they get more complicated from there. If a player is stumped and can't figure out how to build the Long Wall, the Snake, or the Bad Dog, there are helpful clues on the back of the cards. Players also can use the pieces to invent their own structures. Originally known as the Soma Cube, Block by Block is an excellent way to develop and refine spatial perception skills. Includes drawstring bag for storage.

Great game that travels well. December 27, 2008 Lori Grant (Middletown, DE) My daughters played this game at school during parent/teacher conferences. This game had the attention of all of the kids that were in the hall. We purchased it, it's great to travel with and keeps kids occupied while waiting at appointments, etc....
Great classroom addition! August 25, 2008 D. Daigle (Bristol, CT United States) This is a great puzzle! I bought it for my middle school classroom to challenge the students to be creative problem solvers. This product is perfect for that! The adults enjoy it just as much. :)
Great for destressing students May 29, 2008 Lucho (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a guidance counselor in a middle school and have a number of "toys" to distract the children when they come to my office and help them unwind a bit. Some enjoy this puzzle by just building their own creations and others enjoy the challenge of completing one of the puzzles on the cards. This is easily one of their favorites and has stayed on my table the longest as there are so many possibilities and it lends itself well to their creativity as each of the pieces is completely different from the rest. The students really enjoy it and it makes their visits more enjoyable.
3-D FUN! January 9, 2007 Dr. Gayle Nicoll 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
At first my 7 year old had a bit of difficulty with the concept, but once she figured it out, she loves it! The idea is to use the cube combos that come in the package to make the designed printed on the cards that come with the set. It sounds easy, but it is rather challenging. It builds spatial perception and logical thinking in a game!
Block by Block Great Puzzle June 26, 2006 Block by block 3D Puzzle is a great puzzle. Would recommend this to any child from 6th grade on up.
