Product Description Pretend play is no longer all make-believe. When you feed and hug Love and Grow Suzie, she really grows from a baby to a toddler! Love and Grow Suzie "recognizes" her food, and tells little mommies what she wants to eat. Respond to her with lots of love and care, and she'll grow from 16 to 20 inches tall. Her hair even grows from short to long! And just like a real little girl, Suzie loves to sing songs and play games. When you want to start the fun all over again, Love and Grow Suzie reverts back to a 16" baby doll. Requires 4 "C" batteries, not included.
Amazon.com Review You've come a long way, babydoll! Once upon a time, the most a doll could do was open and close her eyes. Welcome to a brand new day! Suzie (rosy-cheeked, blonde-haired, blue-eyed
some things never change) starts out as a baby, but with plenty of TLC actually grows into a toddler. Not only does she grow three or four inches, but she gets smarter and more verbal, too. Every time her "mommy" says her name, hugs her, changes her diaper, plays peek-a-boo, or gives her a bottle, Suzie recognizes the care and begins to grow. Eventually, she's a big girl who can talk (not just babble), sing songs, use the potty, giggle when tickled, guess what's in her hand, use a sippy cup, and lots more. A switch on her back enables her to go from baby to toddler (or vice versa) immediately, if patience is not one of your virtues. Suzie comes with a pile of accessories, including several outfits (for baby and for toddler), diaper, birth certificate, pacifier, blanket, baby food jar, dishes, utensils, growth chart, potty chair, hair brush, and hair extensions. Requires four "C" batteries (not included).--Emilie Coulter

baby love and grow doll August 31, 2007 Lynne De Santo (South Jersey) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this doll for my granddaughter and was surprised at the quality and size when it arrived. The doll is beautiful and the price was amazing. It arrived fast and in excellent condition. Great experience.
We waited so long for Suzie! June 16, 2007 Sarah F (Missouri) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter wanted this doll the minute she saw it. After finding it at a lower price, I purchased it for her. I was very disappointed that she only stays in the "baby" phase for about 5 minutes!! The pacifier won't stay in her mouth and some of the interactive accessories don't work. I keep hoping that a company will come out with a really lifelike, quality interactive doll. Unfortunately, Suzie falls short! For the price, I would prefer to stick with the Chou-Chou babies. They seem to be of a much better quality. I believe this doll will quickly lose its novelty with my daughter.
Would not buy this again April 25, 2007 Jen (Los Angeles) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter asked Santa for this doll and since he didn't want to disappoint her she found it under the tree Christmas morning. She enjoyed playing with it that day but in the four months since Christmas this doll has only been played with a handful of times. She comes with lots of accessories which my daughter enjoyed. She also liked the way the doll "talked" and interacted with her but the novelty wore off quickly. We found that her clothes fit very snug so they are hard for my 4 yr old to get on and off. Personally I think it is a little creepy the way the doll "grows". When she is in her "toddler phase" she looks quite odd with an elongated torso. I am just waiting for my daughter to completely forget about this doll so we can give it away. Overall, I thought this doll was a waste of money. Go with "Bitty Baby" instead- that's a quality doll that will provide years of imaginative play.
Dissapointing April 15, 2007 Maria Timotheatou 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This doll was a great dissapointment. Once you take it out of the box, you will find out that the doll's body is oddly shaped. Half of the legs are fabric, and the main body is too heavy for its extremities - the doll cannot stand or sit. Mine did not recognize its cup, as it supposed to, and it really grows too fast into a toddler. Most of the times it does not respond when you give the commands. Also it is not as cute as in the picture. I would not recommend this doll to anybody.
Suzie didn't last! April 10, 2007 LivingBookWorm (Lilburn, Ga.) I give this doll 2 stars because at least she was very well presented in the box and she brought delight to my 7 year old for a day. After the 1st day, Suzie no longer worked. We tried replacing the batteries but to no avail. We should have heeded the advice of some of the other reviewers. If you want Suzie for her looks, great. But if you actually want a doll that works, consider a different purchase.
