Product Description The My Meebas game is a new electronics toy from Mattel that combines compelling, quirky game play with an unbelievable plush surprise on the inside. My Meebas comes in four uniquely colored tubes, each representing a special My Meebas attribute: Intelligence, Love, Friendship, and Happiness. Each game tube has a sliding LCD screen with three game play buttons that allow a girl to see inside the game tube and follow the progression of My Meebas. She helps it grow by playing various games and activities. The more time she spends playing with My Meebas, the faster it grows. Once My Meebas is fully grown, and not a moment before, the game tube will pop open and the soft, plush My Meebas can be taken out. Each My Meebas plush will be the same shape as the fully grown My Meebas on the screen, but the colors and material will only be revealed once the game tubes are opened. Each tube sold separately, subject to availability. Plush toys not sold individually. Colors and decorations may vary.

Poor Value November 24, 2008 Doug F (Camp Hill, PA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Girls in the age range that want this toy love to collect "stuff". Mattel is well aware of this, and to this end the toy satisfies as your child anxiously wants to see what they will get. However, the other reviewers are absolutely correct that this toy is an incredibly poor value. My 9 year old hatched the doll within a couple hours. Trust me - the prize is barely worthy of being a Happy Meal toy and the plastic game shell will end up in the recycle bin since it has "limited replay value". For those of you that had to reset the game consider yourselves lucky, you got a couple extra hours of game time out of it!
My daughter loved it BUT not enough play value November 16, 2008 Karen Sherrill (South Carolina) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Let me start this by saying that my daughter LOVED this. She talked about it, was excited about it, really obsessed with it. She couldn't wait for the little toy to come out and spent a lot of time between when she bought it and when the toy came out thinking about which one it would be. Unfortunately, that isn't much time, and that's my problem with this toy. We purchased it from KMart at 5 pm, she played it for approximately 45 minutes in the car on the way home. She then played it for about 20 minutes the next morning and then about 30 minutes after school. That's when the toy came out. After the toy emerges, the packaging clearly states, the electronic game has "limited play value." So for 19.99, my daughter got less than two hours of play from it. She does have the little stuffed animal, but hasn't played with the electronic game part for more than 10 minutes since it opened. The stuffed animal is small and appears cheaply made. It has the appearance of one of the "small prizes" you might win at a fair game. I haven't seen it either since the day she got it. Whoever came up with this is a marketing genius, however. You choose from several colors of Meeba canisters and within each canister color range, there are several possible Meebas that can emerge. So your child can't pick which animal she will get: it's random luck. My luck, my daughter didn't get any of the the Meebas she wanted so of course, she wants another one of these. I would not recommend this to others for two reasons: limited play time for the amount of money spent and there is a chance that your child will be disappointed in the toy that comes out and start asking for another. I do not plan on buying any more of these. I am giving it two stars based on how into it she was before it opened.
Not worth the money November 8, 2008 4America 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
My daughter got two of these for her birthday and neither worked. The sprite would not move up an down with the slider. I took them apart and found both had the same disconnected wire. I was able to fix the toys but most of you will not. They don't seem much interested in the games but rather just getting the toy which could be bought for all of 25 cents. There is a hack for this device (ie: open the top). In the battery compartment you will find two small holes. If you stick one end of a paperclip in them one will actually stop the paperclip (this is the one you need). Put the other end of the paperclip on the (+) side of the battery and the top will open.
So-and-so November 2, 2008 Nicole Nikitas 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I got this toy for my birthday and I was really happy with it! My only complaints are... 1. These are TOO much money. Period. I know A LOT of people say this, but it'd be worth it if you got to choose what pet you got and had more games to play. 2. Continuing from the games situation. Now, I didn't COUNT and see if it was 20 games, but two games NEVER changed and the two that didn't change were frustating and sort of boring. 3. It says there are seven levels. If you go up to the top of your screen, you see a heart. Your meeba kisses it, and you can see how it's doing. It only shows SIX levels, which gave me a funny little story. I had to PRY the top open with a steak knife cause I thought that I was done and my meeba would NOT open. So to let you guys know: When your meeba is HUGE, go into the center of his face to play games and earn hearts if you want to avoid being a meeba murderer. Overall, this game was good, but too much money and a little confusing. Also, despite what other people say, I finished the game in about three hours. People say it takes about a MONTH, when you just have to spend a lot of time with it for a few hours. A enjoyed it though. :)
Excited! November 2, 2008 Sylvia 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just found out about this toy a week ago on a comercial, went online and cant wait to get my own. My friend has one and it seems alot like a tamagotchi only 100% awesomer. Being older than the age the normal age of wanting a toy like this, i've had 4 tamagotchis over my life time ntm playing with my older brothers. when i saw this im like 'Hellz Yeah' they finally made a portable virtual pet (not includeing DS games) cooler than a tamagotchi. I may be in high school but im not going to be ashamed in taking it to school and playing with mine inbetween classes and luch XD (i really hope i get the one with the gay colors "aka rainbow striped one available from this purple intelligence tube")
