2 out of 5 stars Might NOT be recalled...   January 31, 2008

Not all of the pooper-scoopers are recalled. Those manufactured after Jan. 31, 2007 are all right. From CPSC: "Recalled scoopers have a visible, silver-colored, disc-shaped magnet on the end of the scooper. Scoopers with a white material covering the magnet and products manufactured after January 31, 2007 are not recalled."

4 out of 5 stars The best pet dog to clean up after!   January 23, 2008

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter who had it as one of the top things on her list. She loved it and thought it was great that she could actually "feed" the dog treats. But the best part for her was that the dog will "poop" the treats out and then you can use the pooper scooper to clean up the mess. This is so much better than cleaning up after a real dog! She thought this was the greatest, and will be playing with this toy set for a long, long time.

4 out of 5 stars Daughter's favorite   December 28, 2007
Mama Lisa (Kansas, USA)
My husband bought this for our daughter last Christmas (2006). He did not look at the age recommendations so I immediately put the small pieces in a ziplock and stored them up since our daughter was only 3 at the time. However, she loved the dog and wouldn't go anywhere w/out Tanner for at least 2 months. The leash came unsewn so I threw it out. She still plays w/it a year later. Be careful not to drop on hard floors too much. Tanner breaks in half and if the plactic pegs aren't broken, the dog can be put back together. Under supervision or w/out the small parts, this toy is a hit.

1 out of 5 stars Double Check Safety Status   December 6, 2007

I'm pretty sure this product was recently recalled or something after the big "made in China" toy scandal. There was some problem with the magnetic parts. If swallowed the magnets can join together in the intestines causing a major problem requiring surgery. I'd definetely check the current safety status of this product before buying it. And if I'm right, shame on amazon for still having it on the website.

3 out of 5 stars Fun But Lost Pieces   December 3, 2007

My friend's little sister got Tanner for her fifth birthday. She loves dogs and Tanner was the perfect dog for her Barbie dolls! When she got Tanner she immediately went to play with him outside. He was a lot of fun for about two weeks. Then five year old Jenny lost all the pieces. They are really small and easy to lose and I think this toy would have been better if the pieces were bigger or they came with a storage case. We lost Tanner's leash, all the pretend poo, and most of the toys! Tanner is still a lot of fun for Babie dolls. -Allie age 13Barbie Doll and Tanner - Caucasian
